Bringing clean water to remote mountain villages has been one of Centro Maya Project’s most ambitious programs. In 2018, we purchased land with a small river and 3 small springs. Working with the municipality of San Juan and other organizations we began the water project for 3,000 people living in the mountain villages.

Fall 2025, saw the completion of a reservoir and a solar powered pump building. Water is pumped along main roads in each village. Most residents’ homes are connected to the main water line with PVC pipes. We continue helping families purchase pipes to connect to the water supply.
